Description

From President Denson's Friday Message #89 2021-12-17:

"Iowa Artist Pam Douglas speaks at the art exhibit, called Folding Cranes, Enfolding Community, that was unveiled on the DMACC Ankeny Campus. Her art exhibit is dedicated to the lives and memories of the more than 7,445 Iowans, who have died from COVID. Douglas has folded colorful paper into cranes, each one representing an Iowan who has died of COVID. Where names are known, they are handwritten on the cranes. The Folding Cranes exhibit is on display in the Student Center in Bldg. #5 on the DMACC Ankeny Campus. The exhibit will remain on the DMACC Ankeny Campus through the spring and is free and open to the public. Douglas will continue to fold cranes and add them to the memorial for any additional COVID deaths of Iowans."
