Abstract

A special meeting of the Area XI Community College Board of Directors was call for Monday, September 16, 1968 at 10:00 A.M., as specified by law, for the purpose of canvassing votes of the regular school board election held on September 9, 1968 for the election of three Directors. Since an official quorum was not present to legally conduct business at this meeting, the canvassing of votes was deferred to be a matter of business at then next regular meeting.

A special meeting of the Area XI Community College Board of Directors was called for Monday, October 7, 1968 at 7:30 P.M., as specified by law, for the purpose of organizing the Board. Since an official quorum was not present to legally conduct business at this meeting, organizing the Board was deferred to be a matter of business at the next regular meeting.

A special public hearing regarding proposed plans for capital improvements involved in the construction of Phasing Campus Walkways and Finish Grading was held in the Vocational-Technical Education Center, 2501 Vine Street, West Des Moines, Iowa, at 7:30 P.M. on October 14, 1968. Members present were Rolland Grefe, Harry Bloomquist, Ross C. Cramlet, Max Kreager, William Price, Harold Welin, Dwight Mater. Also present were Paul Lowery (Superintendent), Roy Reeves (Admin. Assistant), Irv Steinberg (Business Manager), Clifford Prall (Architect), Aronld Fischer (Architect), M.R. Johnson (Iowa Road Builders), Dwayne McArwell (McArwell Corporation).

The regular monthly meeting of the Area XI Community College Board of Directors was held in the Vocational-Technical Education Center, 2501 Vine Street, West Des Moines, Iowa on Monday, October 14, 1968 at 8:25pm
